I've spent 14 years helping Irish businesses and professionals
defend themselves against digital threats. What started in
Dublin City University's data centre grew into a mission: making
cybersecurity actually understandable for people who don't have
technical backgrounds.
My career took me through eight years as an Information Security
Officer at major financial services firms with Irish
headquarters, where I managed security protocols for thousands
of employees. But I noticed something missing — practical,
jargon-free guidance tailored to how Irish organisations
actually work. That's what drives my work now. Whether it's
rugged laptops for field workers, GDPR compliance that makes
sense, or encryption tools that don't require a PhD to use, I'm
focused on demystifying cybersecurity.
I hold a BSc in Computer Security from Trinity College Dublin
and believe the strongest defence against digital threats isn't
expensive software — it's education. When you understand the why
behind security practices, you're far more likely to actually
follow them.
